About Brain Games
HomeBrain Games is a free website where children aged 5 to 14 practise thinking, general knowledge and spelling through short, playful quizzes. It was made in India, for Indian families, and about 60% of the general knowledge is about India.
The four games
- Brain Teasers: riddles, logic, patterns, odd one out and maths puzzles. A few in every set are freshly generated, so there is always something new.
- General Knowledge: India’s states, rivers, history, festivals and space missions, plus science, animals and the wider world.
- Spelling: the word is read aloud and the child types it. British spelling is used, as in Indian schools.
- Word Builder: make as many words as possible from a set of letter tiles.
How it works
- Children pick their age group: 5–7, 8–10 or 11–14. Questions, wording and even the look of the site change to suit the age.
- Every game is played in sets of 10. Questions are not repeated until the child has seen the whole question bank for their age.
- Wrong answers are met with a gentle “Good try!” and an explanation, never a scolding. Correct answers earn gems 💎, which unlock badges.
- Ages 11–14 can type their answers instead of choosing. Small typing slips are forgiven, except in Spelling.
- You can add Brain Games to your phone’s home screen, and games you have already played keep working without the internet.

Parents’ corner
Starting again, or handing the phone to a younger child? Resetting clears gems, badges and the list of questions already seen. The age group and sound settings stay as they are.
